Butterfly Valve ( DN50 to DN2400 )

Body Material: Ductile iron, also known as nodular cast iron, is commonly used for the body of the valve. Ductile iron provides high strength, corrosion resistance, and durability. 

Disc Design: The valve has a disc or plate that is mounted on a central spindle or shaft. The disc is typically positioned perpendicular to the flow when fully closed and parallel to the flow when fully open. 

Butterfly Action: The operation of the valve involves the disc rotating around its axis, similar to the motion of a butterfly's wings, hence the name "butterfly valve." 

Seating Surface: The disc makes contact with a seating surface within the valve body to create a seal and control the flow of fluid.

Wafer or Lug Style: Ductile iron butterfly valves are often available in wafer-style (flangeless, sandwiched between pipe flanges) or lug-style (with threaded lugs for bolting between flanges) configurations. 

HVAC Systems: Butterfly valves are commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for controlling the flow of air and water. 

Water and Wastewater Treatment: They are suitable for applications in water treatment plants, distribution systems, and wastewater treatment processes. 

General Industrial Processes: Butterfly valves find applications in various industrial processes where a cost-effective and efficient flow control solution is required. 

Varied Sizes: Ductile iron butterfly valves are available in a range of sizes to accommodate different pipeline requirements. 

API, ANSI, or DIN Standards: Depending on the industry and application, ductile iron butterfly valves may comply with industry standards such as those set by the American Petroleum Institute (API), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), or Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN).
